A musical prayer for you

A musical prayer for you

As some of you know, I've been working on a contemporary musical setting of the Holy Eucharist mass (that's "communion worship service," for my Baptist friends), dedicated to our little St. Barnabas congregation in Chelsea, MI—and our patron saint, of course! We plan to premiere the St. Barnabas Mass on Saturday, June 13, 7:30p, at St. Barnabas Church, Chelsea, MI. We're also planning an open rehearsal on the preceding Thursday, June 11, 7:00p. If you like to sing, and want to help us premiere a work that's never been heard in its entirety before—and may never be again!—come and join us.

I'll post more information on all this after Easter, but wanted to (hopefully) whet your appetite with a little foretaste. Here's a vocal-piano version of The Lord's Prayer, from the St. Barnabas Mass. Please feel free to use this as you like in your own individual or corporate worship. Hope to post a vocal demo of this one day soon, but here you go for now. I hope that singing this will help you "pray twice," as the saying goes.
